Cathy Camper Celebrated 'Lowriders to the Rescue' at LCAF 2022

Author Cathy Camper celebrated her forthcoming graphic novel, Lowriders to the Rescue (Chronicle, May, 2022), at The Latinx Comic Arts Festival in Modesto, CA, directed by Dr. Theresa Rojas. The festival included a car show featuring lowriders from 14 local car clubs, organized by Nassan and Sonia Sanchez. Camper was thrilled to reconnect her books with the community that inspired them.

Join us for the Lowrider Exhibit at the  Latinx Comic Arts Festival!

This Saturday-only part of the Festival features 14 car clubs and a live DJ. Bring your friends, family, and neighbors! Exhibitor tables are located inside MSR (masks required) and the lowriders will be just outside in Lot 208. Parking and admission for everyone is free and the event is fully accessible.
